I have been in the Talawanda District since 1985 when I
started teaching Reading at Stewart School. When Talawanda
Middle School opened up, I taught Reading and Language Arts
to 7th grade students. In the fall of 1999, after
completing Library Certification, I accepted a position as
the librarian at Talawanda High School. I was awarded
National Board Certification for Early Childhood through
Young Adulthood/Library Media in November of 2003 (In the
photo below, I'm on the right). In 2006 I took on the task
of District Library Coordinator in addition to my work as
the high school librarian.
I have worked hard over the last few years to make the
library at Talawanda High School a place where students can
find quality materials for research projects. I enjoy
helping students finding resources for their projects and
papers. My goal is to make sure all Talawanda District
students are information literate and ready for the 21st
century.
I love assisting students who need help locating
information on their research topic. I am open to
suggestions concerning what books the library needs in its
collection. Please stop by. I welcome your input.
