Welcome to Talawanda High School
Welcome to the
2008-2009 school year at Talawanda High School. This is a
very exciting year for Talawanda. This year marks the
fourth straight year that Talawanda High School has been
rated EXCELLENT
by
the Ohio Department of Education, the highest such rating
for a district. We are also celebrating with the rest of
the Talawanda District, as for the first time ever, the
district received a rating of EXCELLENT. This is a true
testament to the hard work of our teachers, the students
and parents, and the administration in our district. We are
very proud to be here working with your children.
I am Chris Rhoton, assistant principal with responsibilities for attendance, discipline, truancy, as well as Case Manager for students with special needs in grades 9 & 11, ProgressBook for staff and parents, Freshman Academy, Ohio Graduation Test Administration (OGT), and Continuous Improvement Plan - Funding and Facilities. I am joining the THS team after six years in the same position at Talawanda Talawanda Middle School.
I am currently a member of the OASSA (Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators) and NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Administrators).
