Welcome to Talawanda High School
Thanks for looking at the Talawanda High School website for the 2008 - 2009 school year. It is another great year in the history of an EXCELLENT high school. Talawanda High School received wonderful news in mid-August from the state of Ohio. According to the previous year results, THS has been designated EXCELLENT on the state report card. Talawanda High School also received the Pace Setter Award from High Schools That Work. We were one out of 25 schools throughout the United States to receive this award.
I am Jason Merz, assistant principal with responsibilities for grades 10 & 12 (attendance, discipline, truancy), Case Manager for students with special needs grades 10 & 12, Activities, ISA and a member of the School Climate Committee for the Continuous Improvement Plan .
I am currently a member of the OASSA (Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators) and NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Administrators).
